The Technical Department of Idraulica Sighinolfi Albano counts on engineers and dipl.eng. technicians and is endowed of a sophisticated system of 3D design integrated with FEM Analysis. From 2006 Idraulica Sighinolfi Albano is able to design according to the FEM 1.001 Norm combined with the structural analysis at finished elements, assuring to all customers an avant-garde design.

The design begins in the Tecn. Dept. at the first contact with the customer and is concretized just after the customer’s purchase order. In this phase our techn.dept. have to collect all necessary technical data in deep cooperation with the customer : our technicians check also with FEM analysis that the cylinder is verified also in its structural calculations and in the materials used. After that the technicians realise and check all detailed parts to be sure that the product is suitable for use. This phase ends with a scheme of the cylinder to show to the customer for changements or approval.

If the cylinder has to be produced according to the drawings given by the customers , our technicians check the design following our calculation’s rules and safety standards, pointing out possible critical points. Finally, the detailed drawings and the complete cylinder will be drawn according to our internal rules to facilitate the reading of them from our operators.

To realise these drawings we are endowed of a CAD software in 3D in coloured views to avoid any interpretation’s doubt. The production cycles are carefully studied in the design phase and planned using software that could optimise the line feed.

Moreover, the tecn.dept. must witness the assemblement and the hydraulic test of each prototype or first batch of production to check directly the goodness of the design done and possible improvements to introduce in the production cycles or in the cylinder. In fact, as described also in the internal rules of ISO 9001:2000 the first validation to the design is given after the hydraulic test in Idraulica Sighinolfi Albano.
